His immunological interest lies with double-stranded RNA induced immune response and its potential application in anti-virus and/or anti-cancer immunotherapy. In 2010, Dr. Yang was recruited by the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second Affiliated Hospital in Guangzhou Medical University. His studies focus on the molecular mechanisms of HDACi antitumor effects and the pathophysiology of the liver with specific interests in understanding the mechanism underlying the development of metabolic syndromes, fatty liver, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. The goal is to identify potential therapeutic targets in the prevention and treatment of liver disease.
